Condition Guidelines

This store exists to help collectors by reliably delivering figures that match expectations allowing you to bolster your collection with each purchase.  Use the following quality descriptions referenced throughout the store to better understand what to expect from your purchase.  Still have questions?  Use the contact form to get in touch!

  • ⭐ Collector - the best of the best 
  • 🆕 Standard - new or "case fresh" 
  • 👍 Good - visible shelf wear 
  • ⛓️‍💥 Damaged - factory sealed, anything goes otherwise 
  • 🔓 Open Box - used item, not sealed
  • 🦖 Loose - used item, no box

Collector

This is the creme-de-la-creme and the best quality figures you will find anywhere.  Items listed as collector condition will be new and factory sealed with tape that has no wrinkles, and in a box that has no creases, dents, tears, or wear.

The collector condition will always come in a plastic box protector to keep the item safe long term.  These cases protect from dust, UV rays, and "shelf wear".  Possibly most importantly they are great for display!

Very minor manufacturing details may vary slightly, such as minor window, marks, hang tag alignment, minor inconsistency in the folds, etc.  Key word here is minor.  Many items that come out of a manufactures case will not end up in the collector category due to more-than-minor quality concerns.  Only the best make the cut.

  • Hang tags may or may not have been "opened", but will not be otherwise bent or broken.

Standard

At this level you can expect an item to be new, as if it was recently taken from a manufacturer's case pack[1].  This is often referred to as "case fresh".

  • Tape seals intact
  • For items with "cards" such as the small Hammond Collection figures, there will be no visible paint crack of any size due bending
  • Hang tags may or may not be "opened", but not damaged

Good

  • Hang tags may be bent in odd ways but not broken
  • Minor dings and dents, a crushed corner or two perhaps
  • Card may be partially bent
  • Maximum one tear, less than 1/2 inch

Damaged

The only requirement to fit this category is that the factory seal is in place, and thus a  factory sealed, unopened item.  Boxes may be bent, torn, crushed, etc.  Cards may be fully bent.

The figure inside the box will still be new, but do not expect these to be display worthy pieces.

Open Box

Figure comes in a box that is not sealed.  In most cases this is an item that was removed and later put back into the box.

Loose

Figure does not come with a box, but all accessories are included unless otherwise noted.  See item description for details.

Box Protector Notes

  • A box protector alone does not indicate Collector quality!  All collector quality items come in a box, but we do offer box protector upgrades and items that come with box protectors but aren't quite so perfect.
  • Most will come with external plastic wrap still attached, ready for you to peel.  This provides an extra level of protection during shipping and prior to purchase.  This is likely visible in some of the photos you'll see throughout the store.
  • If the box protector is not square upon arrival, gently pinch the edges to tighten up the look.
